Funeral Flowers Sydney
Abdo Florist makes funeral and sympathy flowers to order at our shop in Greenacre and delivers them with our own drivers to funeral homes, churches, mosques, cemeteries and family homes across Sydney Metro. Order by 3pm for same-day delivery, 7 days a week. For an urgent service or a custom tribute, call (02) 9759 7324 (8am–8pm, 7 days). Delivery is $19.95 within 25 km of Greenacre and $45 for 25–40 km; beyond 40 km, please call to arrange.
Types of funeral tributes
Every tribute is made fresh on the day by our florists. Photos show the style; we use the best seasonal flowers available and substitute with flowers of equal or greater value when needed.
Funeral wreaths
A round wreath is the most common tribute from friends, extended family and community groups, and is usually displayed on an easel beside the casket. We make all-white, mixed seasonal and rose-based wreaths, such as the All Seasonal Mixed White Funeral Wreath. See all funeral wreaths.
Casket sprays
A casket spray sits on top of the casket and is traditionally chosen by the immediate family or partner. We make full and half-casket sprays in white, pastels or the colours the person loved — for example the All White Seasonal Casket Flowers. See all casket flowers.
Crosses and hearts

Standing sprays
Standing sprays and easel tributes are made to suit the chapel or graveside, and are often sent jointly by a family, club or workplace. Because size and colours vary so much, please call (02) 9759 7324 to order one.

Who sends what
- Immediate family: the casket spray, plus often a cross, heart or standing spray. Children and grandchildren commonly send a heart or a joint wreath.
- Relatives and friends: a wreath or cross delivered to the service, or a sympathy arrangement sent to the family home.
- Workplaces, clubs and community groups: a wreath or standing spray to the service with the organisation's name on the card, or a vase arrangement to the home or office of a colleague who has lost someone.
If the family has asked for donations instead of flowers, a small arrangement to the home a week or two later is still a kind gesture.
Delivering to the service
Funeral tributes are delivered before the service starts — usually 30–60 minutes beforehand — so they are in place when guests arrive. If the flowers need to travel with the casket, we can deliver to the funeral home earlier instead. For a morning service, order the day before or call us as early as possible.
To make sure your tribute reaches the right service, include in the order notes:
- The deceased's full name, as the funeral director has it
- The date and time of the service
- The venue and chapel name (church, mosque, crematorium chapel or cemetery section)
- The funeral director's name and phone number, if you have it
- Your card message and who it is from

Cultural and religious considerations
Sydney families mark a death in many different ways, and we make tributes for all of them every week. All-white and green designs suit most Christian and non-denominational services. Crosses and hearts are common at Catholic, Orthodox and Maronite funerals. For Muslim funerals, many families prefer simple white arrangements at the home during the mourning gathering or at the grave afterwards, rather than at the janazah prayer. Jewish families generally prefer no flowers at the service. If you are unsure, ask the family or call us and we will guide you respectfully.

How much does funeral flower delivery cost?
Delivery is $19.95 within 25 km of our Greenacre shop, which covers most of Sydney Metro, and $45 for 25–40 km. Beyond 40 km, online ordering isn't available — call us to arrange.
Can I add a card or ribbon message?
Yes. Add your card message at checkout. Printed ribbon sashes for wreaths and sprays are available on request — call us to order one.
Can you deliver to the funeral home the day before?
Yes. Many funeral directors are happy to receive tributes the day before and take them to the service with the casket. Put the funeral home's name and the service details in your order notes, and check with the funeral director if you can.
What colours are appropriate for funeral flowers?
White and green are always appropriate. Soft pastels are common, and bright colours suit a celebration of life or reflect a favourite colour. Some families request specific colours — follow their wishes if you know them.
