Sympathy flowers or funeral flowers?
Sympathy flowers are sent to the family home, the wake or a colleague's workplace to show you are thinking of them. Funeral flowers, such as wreaths and casket sprays, go to the service itself. If you can't attend the funeral, or the family has asked for donations instead of flowers, a sympathy arrangement sent to the home a week or two later is still a kind gesture.

When to send sympathy flowers
Most people send sympathy flowers in the first few days after hearing the news, to the family home. Flowers are also appreciated a week or two after the funeral, when visitors have gone and the house is quiet, and on anniversaries, birthdays or Mother's and Father's Day in the first year.
Sending sympathy flowers to a workplace or the wake
If a colleague has lost someone, a vase arrangement to their home or office from the team is a thoughtful gesture; add everyone's names on the card. For the wake or mourning gathering, a larger white arrangement in a vase or box works best, as nothing needs arranging. We deliver to homes, offices and venues across Sydney Metro from our shop at 245 Waterloo Road, Greenacre.
Cultural and religious customs
White and pastel flowers are welcome in most Christian, Orthodox and Maronite homes. For Muslim families, simple white arrangements are often sent to the home during the mourning gathering. What to write on a sympathy card
Keep it short and sincere. For example: "Thinking of you and your family", "With deepest sympathy", "Forever in our hearts" or "Holding you close in our thoughts". Add your message at checkout and we'll handwrite it on the card.

Yes. Order by 3pm (10am on Sundays) for same-day delivery to homes across Sydney Metro, 7 days a week. For offices and schools, order by 12pm.
Are white flowers best for sympathy?
White and soft pastel flowers are the most common choice and suit every culture and faith. Gentle colour is welcome too if it reflects the person.
Can you deliver sympathy flowers to an office?
Yes. Add the business name and the recipient's name in the delivery details, and we'll deliver during business hours. For offices and schools, the same-day cut-off is 12pm (10am on Sundays).
How much are sympathy flowers?
Our sympathy flowers start from $74.95, with most between $140 and $220. Delivery is free in Greenacre (2190) and from $19.95 elsewhere, set by postcode at checkout. Sunday deliveries add $15, and same-day orders placed after 1pm add a $15 priority charge (not charged on Greenacre deliveries). Only one $15 surcharge applies per order.
