Timing your graduation flowers
Many Sydney Year 12 graduations fall in September, and university ceremonies are held at several points through the year. Graduation weeks are among our busiest, so order a day or more ahead where you can. If you're taking the flowers to the ceremony, choose pickup from our shop at 245 Waterloo Road, Greenacre, or have them delivered to home in the morning.
Choosing colours
Match the school or university colours, the graduate's gown or their favourite colour. Navy and gold suit most universities, and pinks and pastels are popular for formals and Year 12.
Year 12 and formal flowers
For Year 12 graduations and formals, bright, youthful bouquets in pinks, purples or school colours are the most popular. A bouquet with a matching teddy bear or a Graduation Balloon turns it into a keepsake. If the graduate is getting photos taken before the ceremony, pick up or have the flowers delivered to home that morning.
University and TAFE graduations
For university graduations, a structured bouquet in navy, gold, white or the university colours looks beautiful in photos with the gown. Midnight Graduate ($174.95), Golden Hour Graduate ($179.95) and The Graduate Blue ($224.95) are popular choices. Graduation ceremonies can be long, so a hand-tied bouquet that's easy to carry is better than a vase arrangement.
Who sends graduation flowers?
Parents and grandparents usually give a bouquet at the ceremony or at home afterwards. Partners often choose roses, and friends and relatives send a smaller bouquet, a teddy or a balloon. Workplaces sometimes send flowers to an employee who has finished a degree while working.

Picking up or delivering on graduation day
We can't deliver inside ceremony venues, so the best option is home delivery that morning or pickup from our Greenacre shop on your way. Pickup orders are usually ready within 2 hours. If you need flowers for a specific time, call (02) 9759 7324.

Yes. Choose pickup at checkout and collect from our Greenacre shop, open 8am to 8pm, 7 days.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is free in Greenacre (2190) and from $19.95 elsewhere, set by postcode at checkout. Sunday deliveries and same-day orders placed after 1pm add $15 (the after-1pm charge isn't applied in Greenacre), and only one $15 surcharge applies per order.
